Arrived in Istanbul today! The weather is freaking nice, it's roughly between 20-30 I guess? And even though the sun can get quite merciless at noon, there will always be cool breezes that keep me refreshed. Its like you're in an air-conditioned room and it's really cool. Someday I'll migrate to Istanbul and then I can get away from the heat in Singapore, which is a gazillion times worse. There is only one thing I absolutely hate about Istanbul and that is: there is so much pollution! There were so many people smoking so heavily, cigarette after cigarette. OH, DISGUSTING. I think many more people smoke in Istanbul than in Singapore..I 'swallowed' a whole mouthful of smoke just now and it was absolutely horrifying. And the thing is that I breathed in second-hand smoke, which is far more detrimental to my health than to the smoker's health..for idk what reason..shall go find out soon.

Relaxing in the hotel now. It's uhm 3.51pm now, yeah it's 5 hours behind Sg..Just came back from Taksim, which is a considerably well known district that has a variety of shops, eateries and small mini-stalls flanking the narrow pathways..I like the cobble stones..hee they're cute! Oh oh oh and I bought a pair of shoes! They're really pretty and have got like beads on the straps..well uh I like fancy stuff but most of the time they don't fit me because I'm too small or whatever.nso yeah I'm really happy (: shall go sleep now..

I JUST KEEP SMILING

I don't know why but I keep smiling whenever I have my specs on. Weird isn't it? Who smiles while wearing specs? :/ So anyway, I just collected my specs from the Nanyang Optical shop today and I think...im in love with it.

...
..
...
..

Last time whenever I saw somebody wearing specs, I would be strangely envious. In the back of my mind, there'll be a voice saying "hmmm, I wanna wear specs!" Yeah and I told my mum about it and she said " What?! You Xiao Ding Dong ah.. Other people don't want to wear specs but you want to wear... haiyohh..."  Yes, I find it really ironic too!

-Im always finding things weird, aren't I? -.- -

My specs are red in colour, and frameless at the bottom part of the lenses. Its rectangular in frame and I love it. (: Actually, I find I look more mature and better in i-dont-know-what-sense, but whatever the case, it looks okay on me. Not like last time when I feared that specs would make me look extremely geeky and Ill turn myself into a laughing stock... I don't have to wear this pair of specs all the time, only when studying so thats good... (:

A lot of my seniors and friends wear specs! and some told me that they started wearing it from 4, 8 years old... Hee, so I consider not wearing glasses until 13 an accomplishment! Though I found out Cheryl Tang doesn't wear specs nor contacts at all! Hmph.

I really hope the first day of school will be okay for me! (: with my specs I mean... Anyway, Ill get used to it so whats the big deal eh? (:

Yup, its 12.53 am now, I think I should go to sleep soon. unless I get enticed by something else. Tomorrow Im going to work on the guitar booth and board with some of my seniors and batchmates yay! (: Okay, better go hit the sack.

Ill turn the com off now. When the clock strikes 1. Okay, last check of email and Imma off to bed. (:

nights... <3

IM IN COPENHAGEN NOW -21/12-

Hello Singaporean people! ;DD

Right now, yes now, its about 9.12 am in Copenhagen! Temperature = -4 degrees. And the best thing is that there's SNOW OMG. But, this is nothing compared to what I will be experiencing later in Kiruna, Sweden.
...
...
...
ITS MINUS 20 DEGREES OOHLALA! I have never been to a country as cold as this before!!! I really hope I don't get frostbite. ö You know, when my parents first told me that we were going to Sweden for holiday, I was like stunned. Hello, its minus 20 degrees okay. Even japan wasn't this cold! ö

So anyway, Im in Copenhagen now as mentioned earlier. Staying here for 2-3 hours cause we are in transit (: I think, in about 1&1/2hours time, we'll be boarding another plane that will take us to Stockholm where we will be staying for 1 night. ;DD And then, we will take another plane flight to KIRUNA :DD where we will stay for 5 nights (I think?) and go see the Northern Lights if we're lucky. And there'll be a whole lot of other activities like visiting the ice hotel and feeding reindeers and slegding etc...

Im just finished my cup noodles ;DD OISHI.
-okay that was irrelevant but nevermind.-

The plane flight there was 13 hours. I almost died. Slept for about half the ride, watched 'The Nightmare before Chrismas' and Shrek 3 on my brother's and my PSP (: Didn't eat supper, cos I wasn't hungry and also partly becuase I was sleeping comfortably in the seat. Okay, Im going to fb now ;DD so bye bye people and konbanwa!( for you'll, not me haha)

;D

OH MAN. WHY DO I HAVE TO WEAR SPECS?!

I have finally broken the tradition of not wearing specs in my family.

WHYYYYYY!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Aww man. Im pretty pissed off now.

I mean, I haven't been wearing specs for like 12 years, 12 months and 18 days and now Im made to wear them. PHOOEY. sjfksdjf wefdlksdfo wielfksmd;lskdfj mw;ods sorry.

I just went for my 2nd eye check up in 2 weeks today and obviously the results weren't good if not I won't be venting my anger on my keyboard now. The Saturday before the last was the day when I had my first check-up this year.. The optomologist said that my eyes were kind of tired, and hence the results might not have been accurate.

That's why I ended up in the eye centre again this morning... Apparently, everything else is perfectly fine, just that I am a teeny weeny bit short-sighted. Not for my right eye though. My degree is 25 and 100 for the right and left eye respectively okay. I don't actually believe my degree for the right eye is that high.. even my doctor was amused and a little worried in fact. I mean, how can 1 eye be 25 and the other 100! That's 3 times difference if you talk in terms of models in Maths. Haha :P surprisingly, I can still joke around uhh. ><

Wearing specs is a HUGE disadvantage you know. ): First, it is dangerous for sb wearing specs to run around because once she falls down, her lenses might crack and there's a high chance of getting hurt. UNFORTUNATELY, Im a person who loves to run around and have fun, which means I have to take extra precaution. Second, when you eat hot food, the lenses will fog up --> spend time cleaning it or something. Third, the lenses will always fog up after you get out of an air-conditioned car and there's a very high chance of you bumping into smth or somebody.(sadly, ill probably damage someone's bones because ill be running around and crashing into everything. My behaviour = my natural character - too hyper.

-Yes, so anyway I can't do anything about it.-

PHOOEY.

okay, short post, going to drown myself in solace now. haha kidding, okay Im gonna watch tv now then :D

Bye and Bonsoir! (heh yay my dad told me how to say goodnight in french! (:)

So byeee <3

Doesn't it feel great to become a sec 2? (: Sec 1 life was kinda boring, and with everyone other than your level older than you, it isn't pleasant, let me tell you.

You don't realise how triumphant Im feeling right now. A sense of pride and achievement. For surviving sec 1. (: That'll sound silly to a senior. They'll probably say " hahaha, wait till she gets to sec 3!" yeah, I know, a long way more, let's just deal with sec 2 first, shant we?

If you are my friend, you might know that I am very eager to meet the new sec 1s next year! hehe, partly because Ill get to snigger at the sec 1s apprehensive expression. Yes, I say that I was like that as well at the beginning of the year but who can resist laughing at the sec 1s? :P whoops. Okay anyway, Im really excited to meet them and to welcome them into RGS! Being a PSL, I have to carry out my duty well and take care of the sec 1s like how my PSLS took care of me and aided me in my first year in RGS (:

Speaking of PSB, Im ecstatic that I got into this awesome board! Its a once-in-a-lifetime-in-RGS opportunity to lead and serve my school to the best of my abilty. During selection camp, I must admit, I never really thought of myself becoming a PSL. I mean, this is a very very important position and requires alot of commitment. Thus, you could imagine my expression when one of the SPSLs mentioned my name as she went through the list of names of the people accepted into PSB. Christina and I were over the moon, and im not exaggerating okay! (:

Well, now that Im a part of the flesh and blood of PSB, I promise that I will be a true PEER SUPPORT LEADER and offer my friends support whenever they might need it. Oh yes, Im in T&D, which stands for training and development. That wasn't my first choice actually.. and I dont know any of the people in the T&D team. But, looking on the bright side, I'll be able to widen my circle of friends and that's just great! (: I love mixing around with other people, it brings me joy and suits my talkative and cheerful disposition i guess. (:

The PSB formal uniform looks very formal indeed. Long-sleeve white blouse + dark blue vest + skirt. Not too bad actually, it feels very grand to be donning a "business-like" attire :D hehehe, don't worry, I don't like PSB just because the uniform makes me look business-like (:

So, back to thinking of sec 2 life now...

Sec 2 is a totally different life from sec 1. Harder and tougher work = stress overload(unless you're good at managing your time well and im not good at that ): ) = more of burning the midnight oil... (of course there are others which I shall not mention now because I dont want to end up having a nightmare about sec 2 tonight.)

Sec 1 life = Honeymoon life --> what most people say
Sec 2 life = a life that is obviously harder than sec 1 and if you want to survive, you'll have to believe in the idiom "when the going gets tough, the tough gets going!" Ill have to think of another more profound one to use in sec 4.. (shant think about it now ): *shivers*)

I haven't decided what combination I want to take in sec 3. Most of my guitar seniors took trip science and history. But the fact is that I dont like Physics! ): I did really badly for my year-end exam okay. I had fun with chem, and 80% most probably came from my teacher. :D She's so funny, although she can be very fierce, and I think everyone enjoyed her lessons very much(: I'll start Bio next year. Feeling excited cos we'll get to dissect revolting, disgusting stuff :D, and a little apprehensive too cause I'll have to memorise tons of stuff and do a million drawings, which I am horrible at.
My hand just doesn't seem to listen to my command.

Anyway, I shall get that out of my mind for now, if not I'll end up having a nervous breakdown during the holidays and that isn't pleasant at all. Holidays are meant for relaxation so I'll try to unwind and get my brain ready for next year i guess... sigh.

So, its 12.22am now, I like this number, it's got so many 2s hehe. Okay, I guess I should go to sleep now if not tomorrow I'll end up waking up at 12 noon when the sun decides to burn my butt. (x

1)Selemat malam!
2)Oyasuminasai!
3)Goodnight!
4)Wan an!
5)(I forgot how to say goodnight in french heh sorry)
Okay, so I shall choose Oyasuminasai again!

OYASUMINASAI! :D (hehe) ^^
